Cleveland Play House offers you ways to be a CPH insider all season long! With our InsideCPH programs, you’ll get up-close-and-personal with the people and processes that make our work happen — all in a fun and informal setting.
They’re always open to the public, and always FREE of charge.
Hear from the director and designers, then sit in on a technical rehearsal ("tech") to see how set, lights, sound, costumes and actors all come together as opening night nears!
Stay after the show to continue the conversation our plays start! TalkBacks offer the chance to interact with the cast and CPH Artistic Staff in an open and lively Q&A about the play and the questions it raises. Tickets and reservations are not required for this event.
These fun and interactive 25-minute conversations happen right before the show in the Allen Theatre Complex. Pull back the curtain early and connect with the play in an engaging and relaxed setting, beginning 45 minutes before every subscription and MFA performance.
Join us for these hour-long panel discussions with community leaders 90 minutes before the first Sunday preview of select shows.
Held one hour prior to curtain for select shows, a CPH artisan walks audiences through the process of creating featured production elements such as costumes, props, and set pieces.
A screen placed near the stage displays the spoken dialogue as well as the sounds heard during the live productions. This allows patrons with hearing disabilities the opportunity to see the stage action and not miss a single word.
CPH has partnered with The HeArd and the Cleveland Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide select ASL-interpreted performances during our 2019-2020 season. Patrons who would like to attend these performances should use the promo code ASL when purchasing their tickets.
Patrons with vision disabilities can listen to a description of the visual aspects of the performance described live via a small radio receiver. This service provides a description of what is happening on the stage during the parts of the performance where there is no dialogue, i.e. during fight scenes.
