Script Submisisons

Cleveland Play House produces work that inspires, stimulates, and entertains diverse audiences across Northeast Ohio.

We are most interested in scripts that are: 

• Smart. Personal. Provocative.
• Socially relevant. Thrilling. Necessary.
• Told in immediate, imaginative, and intimate ways

We are seeking plays that contain: 

• A diversity of ideas and a multiplicity of voices
• Multi-generational casts
• Multi-racial casts
• Midwestern themes and/or Cleveland connections

Due to the volume of submissions our artistic department receives, we are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts, so please read below and only submit if the following guidelines apply to you and your work.

At this time, Cleveland Play House only accepts full-length plays submitted by literary agents, licensing companies, or other theatre companies interested in co-producing.

We accept these manuscripts and samples on a year-round basis and prefer electronic submission. Materials can be e-mailed to casting@clevelandplayhouse.com.
