Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify and improve the sounds that come from the stage. The receivers operate on radio channels unique to the Allen, Outcalt, and Helen theatres and are heard through headphones. Patrons who would like an ALD to enhance their experience can acquire a device free of charge from the House Manager's office before their performance. ALDs are designed to be used without hearing aids. Patrons who use hearing aids and cochlear implants with a "T" switch (telecoil) should request a neck loop when they arrive at the theatre. The neck loop will work while your hearing aids remain in place.
CPH has partnered with the Cleveland Sight Center to provide Audio Described Performances. Patrons with vision disabilities can listen to a description of the visual aspects of the performance described live via a small radio receiver. (This service describes what is happening on the stage during the parts of the performance where there is no dialogue, i.e. during fight scenes.
