CPH Holiday Tradition Returns With: Festival Of Trees

Cleveland, OH (November 8, 2017) – Cleveland Play House (CPH) is bringing back a holiday favorite this year with Festival of Trees - All Spruced Up! and a new Wreath Raffle. Special thanks to presenting sponsor Dominion Energy, the Allen Theatre lobbies will shine brightly once more with spectacular trees masterfully decorated by local designers. This family-friendly event is free, open to the public, and sure to provide amusement for all.

"For many years it has been a special holiday treat to be a part of the Cleveland Play House Festival of Trees tradition and this year is no exception," says Janet Kramer, CPH Board Member and Chair of the Festival of Trees Committee. "I want to personally thank the tree sponsors and decorators who do such a wonderful job in decorating the Allen Theater for the holidays. The holiday Wreath Raffle is an added bonus!"

“We’re delighted that Cleveland Play House is continuing this fabulous holiday tradition,” said Beverly Gans, CPH Director of Development. “Our generous sponsors and creative designers have once again brought an amazing array of joyful décor to brighten the Allen Theatre. We are thrilled to host this charming Festival of Trees, and excited to debut our 2017 Wreath Raffle.”

New this year is the Wreath Raffle, featuring six limited edition holiday wreaths that have been designed and handcrafted for CPH by Plantscaping. Measuring 30” in diameter, the wreaths are perfect for standard residential doors, and are presented in an array of decorations from classic to contemporary designs. Each wreath contains a variety of glittering ornaments, velvet and satin ribbons and special objects that visually enchant and present the holiday spirit. Six lucky winners this season will get a wreath to take home! Sales for raffle tickets range from $20 (1 ticket) to $100 (15 tickets) and will be available for purchase until Thursday, November 30that Noon. Ticket buyers can place all their tickets toward winning one wreath style or may distribute their tickets over multiple options, however each ticket buyer will only be eligible to win one wreath. To purchase, call our holiday specialists at CPH: 216-400-7021 or 216-400-7022 between 9:00am – 5:30pm (Monday-Friday). Tickets can also be purchased in the Allen Theatre lobby during the Festival of Trees viewing hours: Tuesday, November 21stthrough Thursday, November 30that Noon. As a thank you for your raffle ticket purchase, you’ll receive a promo code for discounted tickets to see the CPH production of A Christmas Story!

Winners will be announced at the Festival of Trees kick-off event on Friday, December 1stduring the opening night of A Christmas Story in the Allen Theatre lobby. The holiday program begins at 7:00PM with the announcement of the six winners, who will be notified and do not need to be present to win. Winning wreaths will be available for pick-up on Friday, December 1st after the announcement or at the CPH offices in the Middough building from 9:00am-4:00pm until Friday, December 8th.

For those not interested in purchasing raffle tickets, Plantscaping will accept wreath orders to customize a design specifically between now and Friday, November 10th. Wreath cost ranges from $235.00 and up, including tax, with $85.00 of each purchase listed as a tax-deductible donation for Cleveland Play House. A tax-deductible acknowledgement letter for 2017 in the amount of $85.00 will be sent to you directly from Cleveland Play House. Please specify the wreath style preferred by name and have credit card ready for payment. Plantscaping is available Monday-Friday at 216-367-1200 between 9:00am – 5:00pm. $500 wreath sponsorships are also available by contacting Geoff Masten at 216-400-7037 or gmasten@clevelandplayhouse.com.
