Epiphany

by Brian Watkins
inspired by The Dead by James Joyce
directed by Donald Carrier

On a snowy evening in a remote country home, friends and strangers gather for a holiday no one seems to remember how to celebrate. As wine flows and conversation falters, something deeper begins to stir beneath the polite small talk. Darkly funny, delightfully awkward, and hauntingly human, Epiphany explores connection, meaning, and the fragile rituals that hold us together—until they suddenly don’t.

Theatre has been integral to his upbringing with a lot of his time spent at Newstage Theatre in Jackson, where he is an alumni of their Youth Programs and had the opportunity to return for the apprenticeship in which he was able to give back as a teacher and artist. This is synonymous with his desire to give back. He looks to build on this foundation and is extremely excited at the opportunity to do so here in Cleveland!

Since 2020, she’s been based in Los Angeles working in immersive theater, film, and creative marketing. Her latest horror feature, The Mystic, is set to release later this year. When she’s not immersed in a new creative project, Jade’s likely hiking through the mountains, hanging upside down on aerial silks, getting competitive over a board game, or curled up with a book and her cats. She can’t wait to experience all Cleveland has to offer!
