In 2020, CPH announced the commissioning of five playwrights to delve into Cleveland’s past and present to create new stories for the future. Mapping New Ground will provide audiences with the opportunity to meet the five playwrights and get a preview of their plays in progress.
At 4PM, tune in to watch excerpts of new plays by George Brant, Vichet Chum and Jessica Dickey! You'll also see behind-the-scenes clips that take deep dives into Chelsea Marcantel and Charly Evon Simpson's creative processes! At 7:30, join us for a LIVE CONVERSATION with each of these talented playwrights! They'll be joined in dialogue by an exciting roster of historians, journalists, artists and spirit workers to provide audiences with a richer understanding of these engaging, Cleveland-inspired works!
