CPH Celebrates Community at Van Aken District

Cleveland Play House and the Van Aken District in Shaker Heights join forces to celebrate community and the arts at CPH Day at Van Aken District. The free, family-friendly community event features various activities and entertainment throughout the day, special offers from merchants and restaurants, and fundraising to support Cleveland Play House.

With fundraising events occurring throughout the day, proceeds from CPH Day at Van Aken District will benefit Lights Up! on Cleveland Play House, a $5 Million fundraising initiative to support equity, access, flexibility, safety, and innovation. The Lights Up! campaign seeks community support to sustain and enhance CPH’s core commitment to producing inspiring theatre and educational programming, while incorporating the lessons learned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and heightened social justice awareness.

The Van Aken District is a vibrant urban hub located in the heart of Shaker Heights. With retail, restaurants, a Market Hall, and gathering spaces located throughout the campus, the shops at Van Aken District bring people together in the name of community, craftmanship, and supporting the local economy.
