Late Seating
Patrons who arrive late for performances will need to wait until an appropriate break in the performance and then may be seated in alternate seats. After intermission, patrons may be reseated in their ticketed seat location. Appropriate seating for latecomers is at the sole discretion of the director of each production and the House Manager.

Emergency Contact
As a courtesy to the actors and other audience members, please turn off your watch alarm, beeper, and cell phone, or set them to a non-audible mode. Any patron who may need to be contacted should leave his/her name, theatre, and seat location, as well as our telephone number (216) 771-8403 with the babysitter or answering service.
Dress Code
Cleveland Play House does not have an official dress code.
Child Policy
All children need a ticket to attend performances. Children under 5 are not permitted for Mainstage productions.
Inclement Weather
Cleveland Play House does not cancel or reschedule performances or offer refunds due to inclement weather. Please see our policies on ticket exchanges, donations, and, if you are a subscriber, Missed Performance Insurance.
Coat Check
A coat check is available in the Allen Theatre.
Refreshments
For most performances, snack bar, beverage and cocktail service is available beginning one hour prior to the performance and during intermission. Beverages may be taken into the seating area. Food is intended for lobby area only.
Ticket Exchanges
If you are unable to attend your scheduled performance of one of our productions, you may exchange your tickets for another performance of the same production. It is now easier than ever to exchange. Just give the subscription office a call with your tickets in hand. See the instructions below:
Exchanges are accepted until two hours before the date and time on your tickets.
If exchanging to a higher-priced performance, the full difference in cost is due at the time of the exchange. Refunds are NOT given for exchanges into a lesser-priced performance. For non-subscribers, a $10 per order exchange fee will be charged and is payable at the time of the exchange.

Allen Thetre Ticket Counter
Located in the Allen Theatre Lobby
Exchanges may be made at the Allen Theatre Ticket Counter 90 minutes prior to performances, through intermission. The Allen Theatre Ticket Counter is not open on non-performance days.

Lost Ticket Replacement
On the date of your scheduled performance, if your tickets are misplaced, call the PlayhouseSquare Ticket Office at (216) 771-8403, and request replacements. A duplicate set of tickets will be waiting for you at the Box Office at no additional charge.
Firearms
Firearms are strictly forbidden inside the theatres.
Smoking
Smoking is only permitted outside the building.
Lost Items
Items left in the theatres after performances are moved to our lost-and-found, located at the House Manger's Office. Cleveland Play House is not responsible for theft or damage to items left in the theatres or lost and found.
