CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR CHILD ACTORS FOR A CAROL FOR CLEVELAND
A Carol for Cleveland by Eric Coble adapted from the novella by Les Roberts is a world premiere holiday show directed by Cleveland Play House (CPH) Associate Artistic Director Laura Kepley.
CPH is looking to cast four children in A Carol for Cleveland
CHILD ACTORS MUST BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 7-12. CHILD ACTORS CANNOT TURN 13 BEFORE DECEMBER 23, 2012.
CHARLIE – A six year old boy. Caucasian. Wise beyond his years. Curious, sensitive, smart, sweet, intuitive. Has a limp.
EDDIE PODOLAK, JR. (E.J) – A seven year old boy. Caucasian. Hopeful. Likes trucks. Wants his daddy to come home for Christmas. His father’s absence is beginning to take its toll.
ELIZABETH PODOLAK– a 6 year old girl. Caucasian. Gleeful, adorable. Loves Christmas.
ANN – 12 years old. African American. Straddling childhood and adolescences. Loves her parents and is deeply embarrassed by them. Has a lovely singing voice.
The children’s roles in A Carol for Cleveland will rehearse after school and on weekends starting November 6th.
Previews begin November 30.
Opening is December 5th.
Runs eight shows a week through December 23rd.
Children who are cast may have to miss up to 3 days of school during tech rehearsals/previews and will need to miss portions of the school day during the run when we have student matinees.
Currently there are 4 shows scheduled during school hours.
WHEN: CHILD ACTOR AUDITIONS will be held from 4:00-8:00 MONDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH AND TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH
WHERE: 5th floor of the Middough Building 1901 E. 13th St. (between Euclid and Dodge Court) Second Stage Rehearsal Hall
PREPARATION: Please prepare the side from the play that you will be sent when you make your appointment.

Please tell her your child’s name, age, gender and your phone number. Also email a recent photo of your child. You will receive a reply with your appointment time and the audition side to prepare.
