Highly enjoyable show. Time seemed to fly by. I couldn't believe it when it was more time for intermission. The second act went just as quickly. The cast members are extremely talented.

- M.T. Oravecz, Akron, OH

We truly enjoyed the evening. Right from the beginning the show was making the audience more feel comfortable and that got us into the folksy environment. The musicians were very professional and entertaining and the words & music speak for themselves.

It was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I very much enjoyed this more musical look at Woody's life and times. The musicians were very talented and obviously dedicated - they also came and sang for an additional hour or more at the Hootenanny following the performance.

- Pat R., Medina

- Jim & Pam D., Brevard, North Carolina

Everyone -- all ages, all political persuasions, all segments of Cleveland society -- should see more this show. What a wonderful production, full of energy, emotion and relevance! Excellent performances by a cast of four who sing, play a variety of instruments, and act...poignantly and powerfully describing the times and circumstances of a nation and the life of an individual who continues to have impact through his music and the many whose music and lives he influenced. Think about the challenges of those times...and the challenges we face today, and the messages will strike home.

- RK, Highland Heights

A wonderful show. We all left wanting to know more about Woody Guthrie and David more Lutken. The music was fabulous.

- mm, cleveland

If you like Woody Guthrie or country or old country or just a group of more four extremely talented musicians who each play many different instruments, sing, dance, harmonize and even act a bit, you can't miss this. Such a fun, toe-tapping evening with a few tears and MANY laughs. The creator of the entire show plays Woody at all ages from 3 on up. His wonderful voice so fits these songs and this production which was premiered in 2007 in Scotland covers some history from WWI and WWII, the Great Depression, the dustbowl, the desperate need (then) for unions and eventually Woody's decline as the horrid Huntington's Disease which claimed his mother also claimed him. The other cast members were all so talented. I can't say a single thing to criticize except that I wished it had been longer! Consider attending in the 2 more weeks it's being presented.

- P. L. Kalbac, Pepper Pike

The lead actor for Woody Sez was amazing and absolutely carried the show. What a more great performance - thank you.

- LFP, cleveland

Woody Sez was a great way to start the new season. The four musicians were more extremely talented and the music infectious. I bought the soundtrack and will listen to it often.

- Cindy B., North Ridgeville

Outstanding program! The performers were extremely talented and did a superb job. I highly recommend more this show to anyone whether or not they're into folk music. It's a great historic review of the life & times of the 20'w thru the 40's.

- Robert C., Shaker Heights

My husband and I loved the performance - wonderful musician actors!

- CV, Richmond Heights

What a great show! It was fun to sing along on a couple of more Woody's songs. Outstanding cast...they do it all...sing, act and play several different instruments. Very moving. Thank you!!

- la, aurora

Fantastic, fast moving, incredibly talented performance! Each talented actor musically gifted in voice and more multiple instruments. A must see for we the baby boomers who grew up in the 60's...and our kids too!

- Christine L., Mentor, OH

Our party of four concurred that Woody Sez was one of the best things we more have seen at the Cleveland Playhouse. We sprang to our feet for a standing ovation. A very talented troupe, dramatically and musically, provided great entertainment. Other friends will be attending tonight due to our enthusiasm.

- Catherine H. , Sagamore Hills, OH

My husband and I truly loved the performance on Sunday. It was the most wonderful more presentation of a life that touched so many. We were unaware of all the challenges Woody encountered in his life and found the presentation phenomenal. Great job!

- Barb M, Avon

We thought this was a wonderful production--well done! We were familiar with Woody Guthrie and more know he is the father of folk music, including protest songs. However, this production summarized his life and influences very well. Bravo to all the performers/musicians.

- Dan and Nancy T., Poland, OH

What a wonderful and sentimental journey through the life and times of this very influential more musician of the last century! Since I grew up in the '60's, it was a personal look back on those tumultuous times and why Woody's music was so important to people who needed their voices heard as they toiled and went unseen by the louder majority. All four actors and musicians were excellent performers on a variety of instruments. The story was heart wrenching and brought tears to my eyes in the end. Bravo to the idea man for this excellent portrayal of a musical legend of our time!

- P.M., Seven Hills

The performers were outstanding! Sets and lighting contributed to the excellence of this show. I more could see it again and enjoy it just as much.

- Audrey B., Solon

Worth seeing. No one should miss it. I was not aware of the life of more Woody Guthrie until I saw the play. It was quite an eye opening experience. The cast of 4 was extremely talented and presented his music in an almost original format. They captured the essence of Woody Guthrie and his music. I was quite impressed with the performance which exceeded my expectations.
