The Cleveland Play House is a nationally renowned theatre, but we thrive on the generosity of our volunteers, who give freely of their time to create an enjoyable atmosphere for our staff and patrons. If you’d like to join us in our mission to bring outstanding theatre experiences to our region, we have a variety of opportunities from which to choose.

Usher Program

• Perform usher duties at Mainstage performances on a consistent Usher Team.
• Cheerfully greet and dispense information to our patrons about our facility.

Special Events

• Assist with rental events, parties, benefits and added performances as they occur.
• Spread awareness of The Play House at neighborhood fairs, festivals and events.

General Administrative Assistance

• Contribute special office skills to our various administrative departments.
• Be a steward for archival of over nine decades of Cleveland Play House history.

Docent Tour Guides

• Share your knowledge of theatre, Cleveland and The Play House with our guests.
• Conduct back stage tours through the shops and theatres of The Play House.
