Classroom Matinee Touring Program (grades pre-K – 3)

Bring the magic of theatre directly into your school! This touring program includes a 45 minute educational playshop for every participating classroom, followed by a performance in your school's gymnasium or multipurpose room. You provide the students, we provide the fun!

Theatre Matinee Program (grades 6 – 12)

CPH invites your students on an extraordinary field trip to experience live theatre at its best. With interactive arts education and enhancement activities inter-woven into the experience, we strive to provide a day at the theatre that the students will never forget.

Full Contact (grades 4 – 12)

Integrate theatre into your ELA curriculum with Full Contact, an artist-in-residence program that connects CPH's Mainstage season to the English Language Arts classroom. Teachers will work hand-in-hand with a CPH mentor artist to design an arts integrated curriculum that improves a variety of reading and writing skills. In addition, partner classrooms have access to our student matinees and other educational offerings.

CMSD Totally Free Matinee Program (grades K – 12)

Each school within the CMSD may apply for the Totally Free Matinee Program (including both theatre matinee and classroom matinee) once each year for consideration. Please submit application at least six weeks prior to the desired scheduling date. Schools will be selected to attend theatre matinees or have a classroom matinee at your school based upon school need and student relevance.

Play. Write!

See a play, then write about it in our brand new Play.Write! Program.

Want to participate? It's simple: Watch a Mainstage production or participate in an educational program. Write a critical essay (as long or as short as you wish). Post it on our site. Get your family and friends to vote for their favorite critical essay. Win a family pass to view in an upcoming CPH Mainstage production.

Educator Evenings (teachers only)

This free program offers an evening that connects each educator to both CPH's artistic and educational offerings. Educator Evenings includes a professional development session, light dinner and a ticket to one of CPH's mainstage productions.

Teacher Advocacy Committee

A diverse group of educators from public, private and community institutions across North East Ohio work in tandem with CPH's education department to further our programs scope and reach. Not only do educators actively participate in our programs, they are advocates for theatre education within their own schools and districts. This unique committee, allow our artist and educators to engage in constant conversation about the challenges of arts-integration in their schools today. Together we develop strategies to bring theatre education to their students.
