Full Day Professional Development Workshop for Teachers
Friday, October 15, 2010 | 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Learn how to integrate performing arts into your classroom while connecting these activities to ODE Academic Content Standards. This workshop will show teachers how theatre can be used as an educational tool within ANY classroom, including English, History, Health, Math, Science and more! We will explore how to adapt various elements of theatre – theme, character, dramatic narrative, and performance – to teach those topics relevant to your classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to work together in large and small group settings to brainstorm new innovative lesson plans that integrate the arts.
The Cleveland Play House will verify 5 hours for your participation. If you are interested in obtaining CEU credits, you must contact your Local Professional Development Committee prior to participation.
