Andrew

Andrew Gorell: is a Chloe Oldenberg scholarship recipient in his third year of the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program, having appeared in Graduate Ensemble productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9 and also portraying Albert Porter in a staged reading of Three Voyages of the Lobotomobile, CPH FusionFest 2011. Regionally he has been seen in Richard III (as Richard III), HamletPericles and The Duchess of Malfi, American Shakespeare Center; Much Ado About Nothing, Oberlin Summer Theater Festival; Noises Off, Milwaukee Rep; Romeo and Juliet, The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre; and The Mines of Sulphur and The Good Soldier Schweik, Glimmerglass Opera. Gorell has acted in Chicago with Bailiwick Rep and New York City with The Ensemble Studio Theatre and Collective Act. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts from University of Minnesota. The Emigrants with Yan Tual is in the works, coming this fall.

Dan

Dan Hendrock: was most recently seen at Cleveland Play House during FusionFest 2011 in a staged reading of Silent Sky and was featured in Case Western Reserve University/CPH MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. Other credits include The Players Theatre, New York; Porthouse Theatre; Cain Park; Beck Center for the Arts; La Commedia Dinner Theatre; Ohio Shakespeare Festival; The Palace Theatre; Huron Playhouse; Shawnee Playhouse; and national tours with Artspower and Periwinkle National Theatre. He has appeared in several original, conceptual projects such as the international premiere of The Secret of the Ceiba Tree, The David Gonzalez Project; Billy Goat Gruff, Fort Tryon Park, NY; and the original staged reading of Cumberland Blues, Carousel Dinner Theatre. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Kent State University.

Eva

Eva Gil: recently appeared in Cleveland Play House’s staged reading of Lauren Gunderson’s Silent Sky (FusionFest 2011) and in Case Western Reserve University/CPH MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. Prior to joining the Case Western Reserve/CPH MFA acting program, Gil worked in Chicago with Collaboraction, the side project theatre company, Redtwist Theatre and 5th Floor Productions. She also spent a season at Actors Theatre of Louisville as part of the Acting Apprenticeship Company where she performed in A Christmas Carol, Neon Mirage (Humana Festival 2006), The Madwoman of Chaillot and Tiny Baby, among others. Also a passionate producer of new plays, she has co-produced six successful (and profitable!) productions in New York and Chicago.

Kelli

Kelli Ruttle: was recently seen at Cleveland Play House in The Life of Galileo. Other appearances at CPH were FusionFest 2011 staged readings Silent Sky and Eyes Forward (with The Mandel Jewish Community Center) and Bill W. and Dr. Bob as a performing understudy; Case Western Reserve University/CPH MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. Regional theatre credits include Tartuffe, directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, and the premiere workshop of Guitar, La Jolla Playhouse; Hamlet, Idaho Shakespeare Festival; Stories of the Night Told Over, Hayworth Theatre; As You Like It, La Jolla Stage Company; The Ladies of the Camellias, The Clearing and The Kid from Stratford, Carlsbad Playhouse; and Hay Fever, Onstage Playhouse. Later this season she performs at CPH in the Graduate Ensemble’s production of The Winter’s Tale. Besides her San Diego State University Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, she is a British American Drama Academy alumna and Chloe Oldenberg scholarship recipient.

Kim

Kim Krane: recently appeared at Cleveland Play House in the FusionFest 2011 staged reading of Silent Sky. She was also featured in Case Western Reserve University/CPH MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. Krane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. While there she worked with hip-hop artist Will Power to conceive and perform in an original show, performed in WMU's production of Dracula at the Pabst Theatre in 2007, originated the role of Abby in the world premiere of The War Wound, collaborated with Leon Inglsrud of the SITI company on a production of Dr. Faustus, and played Kattrin in Mother Courage. Regional credits include Alice in Closer, Knockabout Theatre Company; Ellen in Little Dog Laughed, Whole Art Theatre; and Dorothy in Hotline, Knockabout Theatre Company.

Michael

Michael Herbert: previously appeared on stage at the Cleveland Play House in The Life of Galileo. This is his third and final year of the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program. Herbert’s graduate ensemble performances include Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. He is a graduate of Baylor University where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance. Baylor Theatre credits include Iphigenia 2.0, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Tempest and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Herbert has worked at The Space Theatre in London. He would like to thank his family and friends for always giving him support and most importantly Papa.

Yan

Yan Tual: is a French actor born in Paris. He recently appeared in Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter, An Orchard and Cloud 9. Other credits include A Bright Room Called Day directed by Lisa Channer at the University of Minnesota’s Rarig Center; Sur la Grand' Route directed by Hélène de Bissy at Maison Louis Jouvet in Montpellier, France; and Retour de Guerre et Bilora directed by Jean-Louis Benoit at the Théâtre de Nîmes. Before arriving in Cleveland, Tual trained and performed in Paris, London, Madrid, Minneapolis and more recently in Chicago at the iO Chicago Theater. Upcoming projects include The Emigrants this fall with Andrew Gorell.

Class of 2014

Bernard

Bernard Bygott: recently created the role of Calandrino in the world premiere opera Decameron at Prince Music Theater. He spent two seasons in the resident company of American Shakespeare Center, where he appeared in The Comedy of ErrorsAll’s Well That Ends WellHamlet, and Romeo and Juliet, to name a few. Other credits include Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Theater For The New City (New York City), The Northern New England Repertory Theatre Company, Quintessence Theatre Group, Storybook Musical Theatre, The Ko Festival of Performance, Mum Puppettheatre, Glimmerglass Opera, International Opera Theater (Italy & USA), and The Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center. Bygott attended Maestro Antonio Fava's American International School for Commedia dell'Arte (twice), and was interviewed in Maestro Fava's recent book Nasi Mustacchi e Lazzi (Noses, Mustaches and Running Gags). He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Christa

Christa Hinckley: was raised in Dallas, Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, English, and Linguistics from Dartmouth College. Additional theatre studies include conservatory training at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Since graduation she has worked both on and off-stage in New York City, as well as regionally. Credits include New York Musical Theatre Festival, New York Theatre Workshop, and Disney's Theater of the Stars.

Drew

Drew Derek: received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2008. Along with a number of acting credits in Buffalo (including the Irish Classical Theatre Company) and New York City, he also performed at the International Theatre Institute in Romania. He has written and directed at Manhattan Repertory Theatre (off-off Broadway).

Michael

Michael Feldsher: has performed and taught extensively throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, notably at Ford's Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Shakespeare Library, Rep Stage, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He also studied Shakespearean performance at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.  

Sarah Ann

Sarah Ann Kinsey: received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice and Theatre from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2003. She also spent a year as a member of Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Acting Apprentice Company, and she performed extensively in Chicago both onstage and on-camera.

Stephen

Stephen Spencer: received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011. He's worked professionally with Triad Stage and North Carolina Shakespeare Festival as well as been on tour with North Carolina Theatre for Young People.

Therese

Therese Anderberg: received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University in 2011. This past summer she performed in So Far from God at Chicago Shakespeare Theater for one industry performance and at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland, in an original show.

TJ

TJ Gainley: appeared previously at Cleveland Play House in CWRU/CPH MFA Acting Program productions of Present Laughter as Fred, An Orchard as the stranger, and As You Like It as Adam and Silvius. Previous credits, among others, include TartuffeMuch Ado About NothingThe Philadelphia Story, and The Cure at Troy, as well as Alcestis at the British American Dramatic Academy in London. An ensemble member at Big Dog Theater in Cleveland Heights, additional training includes improvisation with Second City and Improv Olympic in Chicago. After graduation Gainley spent two years in the Teach for America Program.
